The informatics layer for reproducible cell culture science.

Standardised protocols, structured data, and software built for the realities of cell culture research — not generic laboratory work.

The problem

Cell biology has a reproducibility crisis. It is structural.

Non-standardised protocols, undocumented experimental conditions, and inconsistent laboratory practices. These are not individual failures — they are infrastructure failures.

Cellindex is developing standardised protocols and software for reproducibility from the start.

Our mission

Roadmap

Built for the long term.

View full roadmap

Open Protocol Library

Live

Standardised cell culture protocols under CC BY 4.0, versioned, and citable.

Cellindex ELN

In development

Structured electronic laboratory notebook for cell culture research. Experiment logging, passage tracking, cell line registry, and a full audit trail.

Quality Management

Phase 3

SOPs, deviation tracking, change control, and audit documentation.

Research Operations

Phase 4

Running experimental workflows as an independent research organisation.

Integrations

Planned

Connections to instruments, LIMS, and institutional systems. Designed to fit existing workflows.

Data Architecture

Planned

Designed with data minimisation and access controls. Privacy architecture is being specified alongside the product.

For researchers

Your research data is yours.

Cellindex is being built around data ownership from the ground up. Your unpublished results, your cell line records, your experimental data — none of it is ours to use.

Privacy policy
No use of your research data
Your experimental records are never used commercially, shared with third parties, or used to train models. Research data is for research.
Access-controlled by design
The ELN is being designed so that internal team members cannot read your unpublished experimental data. This is an architectural goal, not a policy statement.
Export at any time
Standard formats. No lock-in. Your data should leave with you, without friction, at any point.
No analytics on your activity
No session recording, no behavioural tracking, no third-party analytics on how you use the platform.

Where we are

A public roadmap, stated in full transparency.

We will always validate our current phase of development before expansion.
